Does Windows cause damage to SSDs, due to "a lot of writing"?

Hello. I heard that the new Windows operating systems, 10 and 11, cause a lot of writing to the disk. Since NAND flash SSDs have only a limited amount of life, and only a limited amount of information can be written and erased, I want to know will Windows damage my SSD, or shorten its lifespan?

    :)

HDD damaged due lots of BSODs

I have a Seagate 1TB HDD which is just one year old. Have faced a lot of BSOD errors during the course of time and due to that the HDD got damaged. The windows becomes so slow that I need to wait for 10 minutes before I actually start using my system. Frequently
it shows notifications to check for disk errors. And to add fuel to this, Windows always fails to diagnose for errors, Automatic repair, etc.

When I used Seatools to check the hard disks health it had passed the test couple of times but some times It had failed the test saying that the disk is damaged.

Some 13 years ago I had purchased a Seagate 160 GB HDD. At that time the PC had shut down abruptly numerous times due to power issues. Just one time disk checking would resolve the issue. Still that HDD works well without issues. But this newer generations
of HDDs are worst. Just one time if your PC shuts off abruptly, gone.

So is it whether the HDD quality got worse or Windows got worse?

I am planning to go for SSD. How these issues will be handled.?.

Note: Have done a lot of clean fresh install of windows 10 by formatting all the partitions. Still the same.

A blue screen error can't damage a hard drive, no matter how many you get.

The errors are reactions to problems, not causes of problems. The operating system detects a problem that makes it impossible for Windows to continue to operate normally. Instead, Windows stops in its tracks and displays the error. This makes it
possible to identify and fix the problem at the earliest possible time in the processing cycle.

Before blue screen errors, Windows would keep on operating until it finally failed, making it much more difficult to identify the original cause of the problem.

If SeaTools displays an error, you should immediately contact Seagate, who will diagnose the error and provide a warranty replacement (if your drive is still under warranty.) You should not continue to use the drive; that can void your warranty.

In general, today's hardware is much more reliable than it was 13 years ago. It's also much less expensive. 13 years is an eon for technology.

The essential difference between a solid state drive and a mechanical hard drive is that the former has no moving parts that can fail. For the same reason, a SSD can operate noticeably faster than a HDD under certain circumstances, but only if the remainder
of the storage sub-system is equally capable. For example: If you use a SATA III SSD with an older computer that has a SATA II bus, you won't go faster than SATA II speed.
