Windows 10: Does Windows spy on which websites I visit?

I visit a specific page on my own website using a Chrome browser. After a few minutes, when I was looking at the visit logs on the site, I noticed a Bing and Yandex IP that visited the exact same page I visited before. This page was not known to anyone and I didn't share this page, so I'm inferring that Window spied on the page I visited and shared it with the Yandex and Bing search engine. Maybe something related to IndexNow.org. So I would like to know if Microsoft is actually checking the sites I visit and using this to index sites in Bing and in what other ways this is used. Thanks.

I suggest you to follow the below given steps and check if issue is resolved.

• Open Microsoft Edge browser home page.
• Click on Customize on the Home page
• Select the particular category to watch the specific suggestion.

Also follow the below given steps and check if that answers your query.

• Open Microsoft Edge.
• Click on More action(…) on left most corner.
• Click on Settings.
• Select Top sites and suggested content under Open New tabs with
• Open new tab to check if it shows the Most visited website.

SOLVED: Parental controls won't list websites visited

Hi Sannie,

For us to isolate the cause of the issue, can you please confirm if you have enabled the option to turn activity reporting on?

If not, kindly follow the steps provided below:

1. Sign in to http://fss.live.com with the parents Windows Live ID.

2. On the Family summary page, click View
activity report next to the name of the child you want to turn activity reporting on for.

3. Select Turn on activity monitoring.

4. Click Save.
