Windows 10: Domain login - can't change password,, "config cannot be read from DC, access denied"

I have 2 pc's logged in to a Windows Server domain controller with the same password and user name. The 3-month change password note came up, so I changed the password on pc1. I tried to change the password on pc2 to the same password as pc1 and I get the error message above.Now I can only login to pc2 with the first password and apparently can't change it?How do I resync the passwords so they are the same on both pc's?

Demote 2008 DC - access denied

Hi,

I'm working on server updates, updateing my companies DCs from 2008 to 2016. I have the replacement server built but unable to demote the old server from AD. When I start the proccess it stuck of:

The operation failed because: Active directory Domain Services could not configure the computer account (dc name) on the remote Active Directory Domain Controller (secondary DC name). "Access is denied"

I been searching through the internet for result but couldn't find the right one so far.

I was checking all the suggestins from this link: Access Denied " During Demoting Domain Controller "

But none of them seems to be the issue. The account I use has all the necessary rights to perform this but still failing.

I would appreciate any help or suggestion. Thanks in advance.

 

Windows 10 Change Password Access Denied

Hi

I have a bit of a problem.

I have a laptop with Windows 10 Professional on it.

I wanted to change the domain from our Poland domain to our UK domain so changed it to a workgroup.

When I then went to logon it said that my password had expired and I had to enter a new one.

On entering a new one I get Access Denied.

I now cannot get into the laptop without changing the password but it won't allow me to change the password.

Can anyone help?

Trust Relationship between Server and DC Fails

I am having problems establishing a trust relationship between a server and a DC.

Here are the things I have tried(that I can rememeber):

• Unjoining and rejoining the Domain
• Running: netdom reset 'computername' /domain:abc /userO:xxx /passwordO:*
• Running Test-ComputerSecureChannel -Repair -Verbose
• Resetting the password of the computer from the DC
• After all of these, Test-ComputerSecureChannel still returns false

Many of the error messages I get revolve around 'Access is Denied'. However, all of these commands are run from elevated PowerShell, as a domain administrator, with the netdom command run on both the local machine and the DC. The local machine is running
Server 2012 and the DC is Server 2016. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
