Windows 10: Don't click the search icons on da lock screen

    Don't click the search icons on da lock screen


    On my lock screen, if I click one of the two or three search icons that appear, my computer froze, so I have to restart it via the physical power button. Is it just me, or is this a Windows 11 bug?

    I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the settings to show the search icon.


    • Right click on the search bar

    • Click on search

    • Check show search icon

    What applet provides the weather info displayed on the lock screen?

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to follow the Steps to set your default location and check if that helps.

    1. Type Weather on search and click on setting (Gear icon)

    2. Select your location and set as default.

    Follow the Steps to set Weather app in lock screen.

    • Type Lock screen setting in Search.
    • Under Choose an app to show the detailed status.
    • Select Weather; restart your computer
