  2. What kind of quad.

I suspect you are at "the edge" of the power rating for the mainboard. Perhaps Q6600 wasnt listed due to TWO versions, C3 stepping at 105W and G0 stepping at 95W. Furthermore, if you OC the G0 Q6600 then it will use more than 95W. Since Q9300 is on a 1333 buss, then perhaps the BIOS doesnt give you scope to OC it, keeping it well withing the 95W envelope.

My suggestion is, if the mainboard is important to you and you dont want to blow the power regulators or caps, to NOT OC the Q6600. Take the thing out of design spec (by OC'ing it) and you may very well rapidly reduce the half-life of your board.

Also, as erocker suggests, there are 65W quads out now. I think those are better suited to this mainboard.

    Good luck.

    Different kinds of Powershell?

The reason you can at the moment not run your scripts when running PowerShell (PS) from Command Prompt (CP) is most probably the execution policy set by the system; by default it is restricted. You need to launch the PS in CP with the ExecutionPolicy switch telling what kind of policy you want to be used, for instance Unrestricted. As I have changed the policy earlier, for this screenshot below I deliberately set it first to Restricted to show you an example:

dont know what kind of ram to get so many different kinds [IMG]

    • #1 = Checking the current execution policy, noticing it's Restricted. Exiting PS
    • #2 = Launching the PS again, this time setting the policy to Unrestricted
    • #3 = Checking the current execution policy again, now it is Unrestricted.
The ISE (Integrated Script Editor) version of the PS is just PS on steroids *Wink. You can for example open multiple tabs and do some other stuff not possible in the traditional PS (click the screenshot to enlarge):

The x86 versions of PS and PS ISE are what the name says, 32 bit versions made available on 64 bit Windows. Basically they are useless for you, I have difficulties to think even a single scenario where you would need a 32 bit PS instead of a 64 bit in modern Windows.

By the way, as you are interested in PowerShell, did you know that with it you can install most of your software, install all applications with one command, silently in the background without any user interaction, without any "Click Next", "Click Install", "Click this", "Would you also like to install that" and without any unwanted content being installed? list contents similar to Dir command by Windows built in "Kind"

I've been searching for a way to print a listing of folder and subfolders and only want a certain kind, based on Windows built in "Kind" associations.

I know how to do the dir command to print a listing of a folder and how to use the dir command to list only a certain type.

What I am hoping for is someone out there might know of a way to make a printout or a file of the listings of a certain "kind" based on the associations that are setup in Windows.

For example, if you use Explorer to search, you can by kind (Documents, movies, videos, music, etc), or type (*.exe, *.avi, *.mp3, *.txt, *.doc, etc)

I've tried to search using various terms here, on Bing, Google, etc and it's just not taking me anywhere that might give me help. I've even looked for powershell scripts someone might have posted to do the job.

Prefer to not install 3rd party software to do the trick but use Windows built in solutions but am open to suggestions as a last resort.
