Windows 10: Dose anyone know how to fix not being able to update KB5032190 when i update it says...

I have just been trying different ideas for about a month now but i cant figure it out i tried downloading the update manually but that didn't work so please help!

update KB5032190 will not install

I have the same or similar problem with KB5032190

After installing and restart, it fails at 90% each time, then winds back to before KB5032190 install.

I have done all you have suggested and more, but still fails.

All other updates, previews, etc were fine.

All self help problem shooters are fine.

I see the noise increasing on the web about this update...

 

update KB5032190 will not install

Initially KB5032190 and KB5032007 would not install, I managed to install KB5032007 separately so know it's just KB5032190



It gets to 30% then restarts, then gets to 35% and restarts, then gets to 37% and restarts then get a message that "things didn't work as planned, don't worry undoing installation"

It then restarts three times to undo the update, which takes 2-3 times longer that it took to fail



It does not return an error code or show up in the update page as failed



I ran the update troubleshooter all is says is I have a pending restart - I know that - I have restarted 10* times (see below)

It then says there are windows update issues - again I know that - What do I do ?????

I need a troubleshooter that says what to do when the restart->update fails or at least gives a code to follow

I submitted feedback - that was kinda complicated



I ran the update in another computer with no problems, this computer is 6 months old and all previous updates have worked without problems and as I said above, the other update today installed with no problems when run by itself



Computer is a 64 bit w/ 16 GB windows Pro ver 22H2 OS build 226212428



I have tried everything I found in suggestions to fix:

Freed up space, disconnected external drive, have updated drivers, no errors in device manager

Checked BIT service was shown as Manual, started it

Re-started Windows Startup service

ran chkdsk, did a clean restart with all other services and anti virus disabled (didn't have to do that for other update today)

ran dism /restorehealth and checkhealth - No corruption detected

ran sfc /scannow twice first time there were corrected errors

ran again before sending this - no integrity violaions found

I suggest doing the following:

Rename the software distribution folders as instructed below:
1. Open Start and type cmd, right-click on "Command Prompt", and select "Run as administrator".
2. Run the following commands at the Command Prompt one at a time:

net stop bits
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptsvc
ren %systemroot%\softwaredistribution softwaredistribution.bak
ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.bak
net start bits
net start wuauserv
net start cryptsvc

3. After all these commands are completed, close the Command Prompt window, restart your computer, and then try to update Windows.

If it persists, download and install the update that is having problems manually.
