Windows 10: "doskey" error when using nmake or mingw32-make after Windows 11 update

I have a problem with GCC mingw32-make and nmake after installing "April 25, 2023-KB5025182 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2". This affects all C++ compilations e.g. DialogBlocks, Qt 5 and 6, wxWidgets compilations. I could compile wxWidgets by using a Microsoft Project file, but it failed using nmake. The mingw32-make and nmake compilations generated a "doskey" error.Any ideas what has caused the problem and how to resolve?

After installation of creators update doskey stops working correctly

I have just installed the so called Creators update. Now, the doskey application no longer works correctly. The macros I had previously installed no longer work.

I have been on-line with MS support for over 2 hours and no resolution. In fact an appallingly lack of knowledge on what doskey is.

 

How to set a doskey for the doskey command?

If I do "doskey alias=doskey" then do "doskey /macros" it will list alias=doskey under the macros, however if I try to use it, ex "alias clear=cls" it doesn't work.

Who has seen this vista update error

When you go to Windows vista update and it tell you to update a driver that you have already updated. Then it says failed to update and gives you the error code that tell you that you already have a never version than that. WTF? Why in the world would it be trying to updated something with an older driver. Well the only way to get it out of your windows update list is to go uninstall what ever that driver is then run the update and install it. Then run the newer drivers again.

Well I still can't get the Nivida Network Bridge to disappear out of the list. I uninstall the one in device manager and go to the update and before it's even done with that. Vista is automatically installing a newer version than is in the Vista update list.......
