Windows 10: doWipeProtected Windows 10 ./Vendor/MSFT/RemoteWipe/doWipeProtected, Result: The request is...

I would like to confirm if Win RE needs to be enabled for the RemoteWipe CSP doWipeProtected command to work. Based upon the description of what doWipeProtected does the device be allowed to be placed in a non-bootable state. The Windows 10 OS still blocks this command if Win RE is not enabled. Is that the expected behavior?

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Maybe it's time to step back from the current efforts, and start over. I suggest you read over this excellent tutorial and try all of its steps: [Solved] Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) for Windows 10 - Driver Easy. The one that may provide you with some easy relief is the one where you uninstall the device whose descriptor is failing, reboot, and see what happens when device enumeration recurs during boot-up. If you're lucky, it will fix itself.
