Windows 10: download driver for brother P-touch QL-500

I have downloaded the software for the P-touch 500. When I try to use the printer, it cannot seem to find the driver after multiple downloads.

Brother QL-570 Driver won't complete load

This seems to be a common problem but I cannot find the solution.

I'm using an old Win 10 Pro 64 bit laptop and want to use the Brother QL-570 label printer. I've downloaded the latest drivers from the Brother UK website and also the P-Touch Editor. The software has loaded fine. The driver just stalls at the step after "plug in and power on". I've tried the Brother driver removal tool and whichever way I try it I'm still stuck at the same point.

I know it's an old device but it should still be usable ?

 

Problems with connecting Brother QL-700 - Windows 10.

Update: We were able to successfully get our Brother QL-700 working with Windows10.

There were two main steps.

1) In order to install the following Brother program, ensure that the Status lamp is lit Green and the Editor Lite lamp is off

2) Find a small update program by Brother called (PtUpdater) - this collects all of the updates necessary including the critical update of the firmware for the unit. This
small program also offers;

a. A collection of templates

b. P-touch Editor 5.1 program

 

Unable to find driver for Brother QL-570

Just installed Windows 10 Found there is no driver for Brother Label Printer QL-570 any advice would be appreciated.
