Windows 10: Download files from the web - Microsoft Support

The issue I am having is that every time I am downloading a file from my Bank Account or work files it ends up in an Explorer window/file and I can't open it. I want to to be able to download in the option of my choice; ie, Adobe PDF, Word File, .cvs Excel.Please let me know how you can help me with this.Regards,Luzelena

I would appreciate if you could answer a few questions to narrow down the issue in order to provide you with better assistance.

• Did you make any significant changes to the computer prior to this issue?
• What happens when you try to update Windows Media Player?

I appreciate your efforts taken to resolve the issue. As of now, I would suggest you to following Methods 2 and 3 suggested by
Srimadhwa B replied on June 23, 2012 in the following thread:

WMA files. The license cannot be downloaded because
your Web browser is not supported

Downloaded files disappear


When you download a file through any browser, there's an option somewhere to 'Open Containing Folder.'

In Windows, to find a file you have downloaded...

1. Open your personal folder by clicking the Start button and then clicking your user name at the top of the Start menu's right pane.
   
2. Double-click one of the following folders:
   
   • Downloads
     
   • Documents
     
   • Pictures
     
   • Videos
     
   • Music

If you do not see the file you are looking for, but know its file name, you can search for it by following these steps:
To search for a file you have downloaded...

1. Click the Start button
   
2. Type all or part of the file name into the Search box.
   The file you are looking for will appear in the list of results.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
