Windows 10: Download folder crashes everytime

To be honest I think Windows10 is a **** operating system.


I have had a couple of times now that the whole download folder does not work, Explorer just crashes everytime.

Only solution a complete reinstall of Windows as if I have not other things to do then fixing a stupid crashing bug.


I do not if it is related but also my Ati Radeon RX460 2GB Vram videocard has never functioned without crashing at least everyday.

Best case the display just flashes a bit and comes back online but often your game just crashed or computer reboots.


Latest drivers blablabla I think WIndows10 is a very crappy product and ATI videocards are even worse and to say WIndows is the gaming platform?


Just so you know I was downloading some Farming Simulator 19 mods from the official Modhub when the download folder crashed and keeps crashing.



Please fix Windows so it can work as a a gaming machine because the crashing download folder has nothing to do with videocards or whatever.

Downloads folder is the Documents folder

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

all games crash!

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name


Suggestion:

1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
   x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
   NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.
