Windows 10: Download Manager Issues

For some downloads like youtube videos I use Free Download Manager: Free Download Manager - download everything from the internet but this has not worked for my archive downloads from Weebly, some of which have been 1.5 GB in size. For this I have had to use a trial version of Internet Download Manager: Internet Download Manager: the fastest download accelerator The problem is that I will now have to pay for a license or try to find an alternative freeware or open source product.

The software must be able to properly download this type of file I have set up for testing purposes: Free Website Builder: Build a Free Website or Online Store | Weebly which is a zipped archived file of this sample website I have set up from this test website: WCS - Home

I was wondering whether anyone could recommend a free download manager that would download this type of file. I don't know why Free Download Manager isn't able to do this. Needless to say my standard Firefox download manager isn't up to the job either and it has failed part of the way through a 1.5 GB download which isn't amusing!..

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Free Download Manager

It is very trusted one and very useful program. I have never used any download manager except FDM since my first ever download (Yeah! that was K-Antivirus update from their server). It is still best especially its version 3.0.848. It can even download, save, and convert youtube videos. You can import/export download list, can create portable version etc. It is best of the best free DM. Can recommend to anyone!!

 

Best FREE download manager

Ive tried loads, and this thread will just get flooded with suggestions, but when I want a manager I use Orbit.

Best one IMO, tried flashget, free downloads manager, and loads more, that was best one i could find, main reason i liked it was that it was ad free and did what it said on the tin without being intrusive.
