Windows 10: Download not initiating Microsoft store Ark game

I have tried to download Ark from the Microsoft store. It was downloading fine with details of download speed so I left it over night. In the morning it was paused and refusing to finish downloading about 90% complete. I canceled the download to get it started but haven’t been able to get the bar fill up or the download speed to display. The computers information also claims that there is nothing using the internet apart from small bursts of kilobyte. Re-logging in, restarting the download, restarting the computer, resetting the microsoft store with MSReset through run are all methods that I have tried, to no success. There is valid space on the drive. It is stuck on the downloading page, no bar just saying download, yet nothing is actually getting downloaded.


Was wondering if there are any methods to initiate a download other then mentioned above.

so I bought ark ($60 game) through the Microsoft store on the browser, and when I press "play on this pc" it takes me to the app to "download" it but the problem is that ark is not appearing on the Microsoft store app, but it is on the browser and I'm
pretty sure parental controls are off seeing as I can look up gears of war and halo with no problem any help would be appreciated!

 

Downloading a game on microsoft that i already have downloaded

I am currently trying to download ark on the Microsoft store to play with friends (I have the game pass), but i already have ark downloaded through steam, is there any way for Microsoft to check for the steam files instead of re downloading ark again.
