Windows 10: Download speeds are unacceptable on Windows 10

I have cable internet, ,and on my Windows 7, my test show Mbps shows 115 + on Download.

On my Windows 10, my test shows 37.6 on Download and shows upload of 7.9 on upload.

Why is Windows 10 so sluggish?

I thought it was supposed to be fast, but it is horrible.

Is there any way to correct this or just accept the fact that this is the New Microsoft?

Windows 10 download speed issues

Try this method:

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.

Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.

 

Microsoft store download speeds and windows 10 app load speeds are very slow

• The latest update I have showing is "2018-02 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64 based system KB4074588"
• I've tried all the below steps suggested by Eeshwar Kumar in this link: Why is Windows Store's download speed so slow?

• I would suggest you to test the speed using any of the speed test website or app to confirm the upload and download speed.
• I also suggest you to reset the wireless router to check if that helps.
  
• You may plug in the Ethernet cable if available and check the speed.
