Windows 10: Download speeds on widows 10

so i have a Asus pci ac88 WiFi adaptor with up to date drivers and windows 10,


a speed test on www.speedtest.net/ showed that i have 2mb/s however on steam and when downloading on microsoft store i average around 400kb/s on WiFi and around 450-500kbs with Ethernet. Also with my xbox i can average around 8mb/s. Can anyone help me improve this as i have tried everything i can think of and i feel is safe to do.


Also my specs are:

Asus rog strix x470-f gaming

ryzen 3 2200g

8gb corsair memory

Asus pci ac88 PCI-E adapter

i do believe that i was the problem steam, discord and other apps show their speed in bytes not bits and after updating the windows store it has returned to normal thank you for your help though as these steps have boosted my download speed a little

• I would suggest you to test the speed using any of the speed test website or app to confirm the upload and download speed.
• I also suggest you to reset the wireless router to check if that helps.
  
• You may plug in the Ethernet cable if available and check the speed.

Microsoft store download speeds and windows 10 app load speeds are very slow

• The latest update I have showing is "2018-02 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64 based system KB4074588"
• I've tried all the below steps suggested by Eeshwar Kumar in this link: Why is Windows Store's download speed so slow?
• And also all by Jane La in the below: Microsoft Store Very Low Download Speeds
