Windows 10: download time to install an installer for adobe reader/not working

Why would it take practically 10 minutes for the adobe acrobat reader installer to download on my laptop.I have put it on before and this has never happened. Insane.I'm on wifi. All other programs and apps were closed.I have reinstalled adobed and it is not working. I have looked online and can't find a solution but a lot of similar complaints. Can it be something in windows that is not allowing it to work? I always have problems with other things after I put on windows updates. Grrrrrrrrrthanks

Adobe Reader in Windows 10

I suggest you to try uninstalling reinstalling Adobe reader and check if issue is resolved to do so kindly follow the below given steps and heck if it works:

• Press Windows key + X key, and then tap or click Control Panel.
• Under View by, select Large Icons, and then tap or click
  Programs and features.
• Tap or click the Adobe reader program, and then tap or click Uninstall.
• Follow the instructions on the screen.

Now re-install the Adobe reader and check if the issue is resolved. To re-install download the latest Adobe reader setup file from the Adobe website and install it.

Windows 10 and Adobe Reader

I suggest you to un-install and re-install the Adobe Reader and check if that helps:

Follow the steps to un-install the Adobe Reader.

• 
  Type control panel
  in the search box.
  
• 
  Click on programs and features or uninstall a program (depends on what view you are in)
  
• 
  Right click on Adobe Reader.
  
• 
  Click on uninstall.
  
• 
  Go through uninstall Wizard to Uninstall Abode Reader.

Adobe Reader not opening

I re-installed Adobe Reader DC. It worked for a few hours and then stopped working.

Windows diagnostics said the program is incompatible.
