Windows 10: download Windows 10 English edition while being based in Italy (how to avoid getting the...

I live in Italy but am English speaker. I need to upgrade to Windows10 in the coming weekes. Windows seems to force me to download the Italian Windows 10 as I am located as being based in Italy. How can I communicate to Windows online system that I want the English edition of Windows 10 not Italian? thank you

cortana is not available in English while living in Italy

alpha version of Cortana is only available in Italy with Italian region, language and speech settings. It is not yet available in English language in Italy.

To stop the download, uninstall the KB3035583 update (under "Control Panel > Windows Update > Installed Updates").


To get rid of the C:\$Windows.~BT folder:

• Right-click on your C: drive.
• Select "Properties".
• Click on [ Disk Cleanup ]
• After the initial scan: If you have a [ Clean up system files ] button, click it and wait for the second scan to finish.
• Scroll down the list and look for "Temporary Windows installation files" (its size should be in the gigabytes range); check the box.
• Click on [ OK ] to start the clean-up.
