    How do you get rid of those pop ups from the likes of, ''Ad By Desktop Recipe'' and ''Desktop Recipe Advertisements'' They range from, 'bored moms' to advertisements for 'Budweiser, ups and nba'. When I clicked on a circled (?) it took me to a site to disable
    ''friend checker'', it didn't do anything to eliminate these pop ups. There very annoying and stay on top of every thing else on the screen. It all started with an icon of a ''bowl of steaming soup''

    Cannot modify Task Bar settings

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    I understand your concern and will be happy to assist you.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

    • Right click on the Task Bar.
    • Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."
