Windows 10: Downloaded Google photos trying to open in Acrobat - how do I reset it so that it'll open...

Hi!I downloaded my photos from Google. I believe I accidentally tried to open one of them in Acrobat and also had the "do this from now on" box checked and now the images are trying to open with Acrobat but won't. Also, the icon for each file is now the Acrobat image.Also, when I click on properties it tells me the file name is, for example, 20230103_163457.jpg.jsonWhen I right-click the file I don't get the option to "Open with...", just simply "Open" and it tries to open in Acrobat but gives an error message:"Adobe Acrobat could not open '20230103_163457.jpg.json' because it is either not a

Google works slow and can't download Adobe Acrobat Reader

In regards to your concern, please help me with the following questions:

1. What is the make and model of the computer?

2. Did you tried to download Adobe Acrobat Reader DC from different browser?



If Google chrome is running slow then it is could be possible that the web browser has gone corrupted.

You can try to uninstall Google Chrome from the computer and reinstall it.

Follow the steps:

1.
Type appwiz.cpl in Windows search bar and press
Enter.

2.
Search the Google chrome from the list and click on
uninstall.

3.
Do not click check the box for
clear browser data prompt.

4.
Open Internet explorer and download/install Google Chrome.

Unable to open the photos in Photos App

Hello David,

To assist you better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

• Are you trying to open the photos in Photo App?
• Are you getting any error messages when you try to open the photos?
• Do you have the copy of those photos and are you able to open those photos?

Recycle Bin opens in Acrobat

Thanks so much for your response. Unfortunately, it didn't help me with my problem.

The 'Uncheck bin' option wasn't listed under Acrobat. I then tried 'Option 1" and the Recycle Bin still shows an Acrobat icon which opens to Acrobat. I then tried to open the bin in office and it looks to have files that shouldn't be in the recycle bin.
