Windows 10: Downloading and installing packages from the repository manually for offline installation

There are two resources for downloading packages from Microsoft servers:* Repository of operating system and driver package updates. link* UWP application repository. linkThese repositories perform the same function, namely, they allow you to download a package for offline installation.My question is, what can be officially downloaded from these repositories?

Install Diablo 3 on Linux

Just install PlayOnLinux? Why did they make step 2 and 3 of this "tutorial"?

Anyway, looking at the supported software list for PlayOnLinux, D3 is a step in the right direction. Lack of gaming is a factor for a lot of people when deciding on an OS, if more recent games get ported it may help migrate them to their preferred choice.

 

"Application Install install package failure!" while installing 13.9

Running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and MSI 6970 Lightning.

I was upgrading from 13.4 after I did a clean uninstall with AMD Catalyst Install Manager.

Doesn't say what installation failed in the install log. Everything in the log says Success but at the very bottom it says "Application Install: install package failure!" but doesn't say what failed to install.

I only install video drivers and no CCC.

The only thing I noticed is AMD Catalyst Install Manager is not listed in my programs list.

What if you want to install something not from their repositories?

It doesn't have an actual /root folder or partition. That can make it a pain to manually install certain programs. I had a hard time with both Beagle and KXDocker, for instance. Took some manual configuration is all, but something to be aware of none the less.
