Windows 10: downloading and saving pdf files in Edge and this one time not working in chrome

I'm able to download some PDF files in Edge but not in chrome just from one particular webite. But Edge does not show the headings across the top of the file that would permit me to save the file in a PDF which i know how to do on chrome and any other website. The headings are completely differetn.The DO HOWEVER have a tab to make Edge my default for downloading PDF files which I do not want to do so is this why I can't save the files?How do I save the files which won't download in chrome btu do so in Edge? I've attached a snip of the heading on Edge. This is obviously not Adobe Acrobat. Ho

We suggest that you save the PDF files on your device and check if the issue persists. You may also want to associate the PDF files to Microsoft Edge as the default program to make sure that you have a default application that will open all of your PDF files.
Here are the steps:

• Search for Default Programs.
• Go to Associate a file type or protocol with a program.
• Select the .pdf file type and then click the Change program button on the upper right of the
  Set Associations window.
• Choose Microsoft Edge and then click OK.

Corrupted PDF file download from yahoo mail in chrome

this problem occurred only once

i try to download 3 PDF files in chrome from yahoo mail which i receive in single email

i tried both to download all 3 files individually and together as one zip file

none of the files opened in Foxit Reader, Edge Browser and Chrome,

however it was displayed fine in Chrome Browser Yahoo mail preview option

the problem occurred in both mine and my father laptops

so i try to download the files in Edge Browser and it worked fine


i had this problem in past with Edge Browser but this time it happened in chrome

Cannot download or open pdf in Edge


Sometime over the past couple of days I have lost the ability to download any files when browsing with Edge and I cannot open PDF files from within Edge either.

Downloading just says xxxx.yyy couldn't be downloaded and nothing will fix it - yet I can download using IE or Chrome to the same downloads directory. Attempts to open pdf files get exactly the same response.

Any suggestions? I really like Edge and it annoys me that I cannot use it anymore.
