Windows 10: Downloading DV Studio footage from a Panasonic NV-DS1

This is a legacy compatability issue: I have a Panasonic NV-DS1 video-camera - about 20 years old - with a stack of footage on Mini-DV DVM60 cassettes. My computer has Windows 10 Home OS; 16GB of RAM; 4.0 GHz processor. I have tried many different video capture software but none recognise the hardware to display the output. My vidoecamera is connected via a DV to Firewire connection.
I have CyberLink's PowerDirector 15 installed which permits me to control the camera and playback - but refuses to display the output for recording.

What would I need to enable this footage to be captured off these tapes please?

Want to capture video from a DV camcorder

connected through an IEEE1394 (FireWire) cable. The motherboard has a FireWire connector and it appairs listed in the Device Manager as "OHCI compliant 1394 LSI host controler" and the driver is identified as 1394ohci.sys (Microsoft v.10.0.10240.16384 (th1.150709-1700)).

But the camcorder (Panasonic NV-DS11) is not detected.

I want to save the contents of recorded DV tapes:Is there a way to make it possible in Windows 10?

Downloading photo fun studio 10PE from panasonic

I have been trying to download Photofun studio 10PE from Panasonic and keep coming up with the same problem.

The installer downloads fine, however when I run it the programme hangs at;

" downloading relevent parts of visual C++" which I have on the computer.

have contacted panasonic and they are now saying it is an OS problem so I am now stuck as to a way forwards. ??????

Anyone had similar problems?

any help would be great full however, instructions on what to do needs to be simplistic as jargon savvy.
