Windows 10: Downloading files or working with files on the desktop takes several seconds

Ok, so I am not sure what happened to my computer, but in the last few months anything saved on my desktop is sluggish to work with or takes extra time to open. For example, if there is an image file like a .jpg on the desktop and I want to edit it, it takes several seconds to save it again. I can count to like 10 before it saves it. It's the same thing if I download something and I download it directly to the desktop or if I do a snipping tool save, I can count to 10 before the new file appears. I also noticed that copy pasting folders to it, I have wait like 10 seconds before it starts the s

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

 

Finding .IMG or .ISO file in Windows 8.1 Pro download

Hey guys,

In preparation for my new PC I downloaded Windows 8.1 Pro from Dreamspark, and I wanted to burn it to a DVD, so I can install it on the new PC.
However, in the downloaded files I can't find a .IMG or .ISO file anywhere. I understood that the .IMG file is the one you need to burn to the DVD?

Any suggestions?

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

Download CCcleaner from here...........

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.
