Windows 10: downloads folder crashes file explorer when i right or left click it

i have seen many other issues with this but all the answers dont work.i cant go into properties, i cant delete anything to free up space, nothing!

Right click on the folder in File Explorer

Right click on any folder on right screen or large icon or horizontal lists is fine.

But every time I right click on any folder on the left screen or small icon or vertical lists , the file explorer crashes and closes.

This problem occurred last a or two week ago.

Any idea?

Hi

I have a problem with file explorer in windows 10

When i try to open a folder from the list at the left corner as example a folder from Quick access

When i click on it with right click and choose open in new window the file explorer crashes and restart again

NOTE: download version 1.97 or later, else Restart Explorer won't work in step 4

1. This program does not require installation, just right click and run as Administrator
2. From the menu, click on Options then click on Filter by Extension Type and select Context Menu. Also put check marks as shown
   
   
   
3. Click on the screen, Hold down CTRL Key+A to select all then click on the red button on top left corner to disable all.
4. Click on the Options again and select Restart Explorer
5. Now try to right click on desktop to see if it fixes your problem. If it does then start to enable one by one and repeat step 4 until the problem occurs again, that's the offending extension.
