Windows 10: Downloads folder won't open

When I click the Downloads tab on Windows Explorer, it says "Working on it" and then the folder freezes. I have tried restarting, I have tried clearing its Quick Access feature, I have tried restoring to default location. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Please help!

Folder won"t go away


I have a no longer used folder than I cannot delete. I have tried various third party apps to no avain. Any ideas how I can send this folder to "Never Never Land"

 

Downloads folder is the Documents folder

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

Windows won`t open an program when using Microsoft user

Windows won`t open an program when I try to open it with Microsoft account user, but when I login with local account, that program opens. I have tried with 2 Microsoft accounts, 1 admin and 1 normal user, and it won`t open in either one of them. What can cause this?
