Windows 10: downloads going to OneDrivenot installed app

Discus and support downloads going to OneDrivenot installed app in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; Edge browser is still sending all downloads to OneDrive which I uninstalled/removed long ago.     downloads going to OneDrivenot installed app


    Edge browser is still sending all downloads to OneDrive which I uninstalled/removed long ago. Unable to change 'where to send downloads' in Edge settings. Identical downloads are being stored in This PC, Quick Access and Libraries....all are shown as OneDrive downloads.

    I am unable to clarify the distinction between folders. I DO NOT want to use OneDrive.

    I want all downloads and documents, any saved items to be saved in Quick Access or This Pc

    Windows Defender Blocking Installations of Downloaded Apps

    Hi Craig,

    There's a possibility that the SmartScreen option is on that's why you're unable to install downloaded apps. Let's try to turn it off and see if it helps. See the steps below:

    • Open Windows Defender Security Center from your Start menu, desktop, or taskbar.
    • Click on the App and browser control button on the left side of the window.
    • Click on Off in the Check apps and files section.
