Windows 10: downloads taking way too long to complete.

Hi my name is AayanI have been using microsoft store for a long time and came up with this bug.whenever i try to update an app, it takes too long and gets stuck on pending. At one point, microsoft store stopped completely and whenever i tried to open it, it does not open up. I tried resetting it through setting but it fails. then i tried using wsreset.exe and it said that 'cant find the app to open this program' as microsoft store cant open. I need help. some of my apps are still updating and it is taking too long.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thank you for posting the Microsoft Community. I understand your phone has been updating for over an hour and still hasn't been able to complete the update. While updates can sometimes take 30-40 minutes to update, you seem to be well beyond this point.



We have a support page located at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2484484 which covers the most common update issues, including being stuck in download mode. Those steps are as follows:

If your phone appears to be stuck in "Download Mode," you may have to be patient. It can take up to 30-40 minutes for your phone to update. If the phone is still taking too long to update:

• Disconnect the USB cable.
• Remove and reinsert the battery (if possible).
• Press the Power

  button to turn the phone back on.
• Reconnect the USB cable and start the update process again.

If you're unable to remove the battery, try turning the phone off and holding the volume down button and power button as the phone restarts. This should soft reset the phone the same way removing the battery would.



Once you have performed these steps, please try the update again. If you're still having issues updating the phone, please try another USB port and make sure that you're connecting to the PC directly (not through a USB hub) using the USB cable that came
with the phone.



If you're still unable to update after trying other USB ports, you may want to try another PC if you have one available.
