Windows 10: DPC Latency caused by wdf010000.sys... cannot use for audio production

I have a new laptop that I wish to use as a Digital Audio Workstation home music studio.

2020 HP Spectre x360 laptop with 11 gen i7 processor, SSD, 16gb ram

I'm also using a Tascam US 4x4 audio interface and Calkewalk.

The system is having a great deal of difficulty playing back audio without stutters and dropouts.

According to latencymon, I'm getting tons of DPC latency from wdf01000.sys. I have updated my bios, drivers, software, windows... nothing is helping.


I've seen others post about similar issues. They seem to be related to Windows. Any ideas?

I am posting this regarding a problem that I ran across in my laptop at the beginning of august 2019, the problem is that I am getting high DPC Latency levels that are apparently caused by wdf01000.sys according to the latency checking
program, latencymon.

I really want to know if there is a fix since I have browsed a wide range of sites trying to find a fix, I could not find any. And also my keyboard stopped working for some reason, if its ok I would like to find a fix for that, but
I prioritize fixing the high latency over the keyboard.

High DPC latency causing audio stutters

Quite different hardware but this may have your attention.

Sound artifacts and high DPC latency seemingly related to storport driver can be caused by switching between Cx power saving processor states. My pci-express add-on soundcard works correctly only if C states greater than C1 are disabled:

The power settings look good, but I would disable the selective suspend on the USB ports, since you have a USB audio driver.

This is not the problem, though. Anything that takes more than a fraction of a millisecond as a DPC process might cause an audio dropout or glitch.

Your values for StorPort.sys are off the wall! That is the Microsoft SCSI driver for your hard drives and SCSI attached stuff.

You might have misconfigured some drive setting (like not using AHCI). Perhaps this is a BIOS setting. Are your SCSI drives using IDE or something like that?

For comparison, I use high end audio stuff on a daily basis and my system was built in 2011.
