    DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION caused by ntoskrnl.exe


    Hi all,Recently my computer has been crashing frequently; about four times just today. Prior to this, it was behaving fine. I am not sure what could have caused this but I notice Windows installed 2021-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems KB5005033 today. The crashes seem to occur while idling. The computer hangs, I cannot move the mouse and shortly after the computer restarts; no blue screen of death is shown. I installed WhoCrashed to analyse the crash dumps. Here is the first one:On Sat 14/08/2021 3:21:55 PM your computer crashed or a problem was reported

    • Were there any changes made to your computer prior to the issue?
    • Were you able to install all pending updates on your computer?
    • Have you tried restarting your computer?
    • Have you tried running the System File Checker tool?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you already performed?

    • Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • Have you tried the troubleshooting steps on this
      link       that was provided by Billion Debbarma on September 19, 2015 and see if you will still encounter the same issue?

    I have an HP desktop that upgraded to windows 10. I continue to have the DPC Watchdog Violation blue screen. Any suggestions?
