  2. Wifi adapter (probably) causes BSOD error DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION when connecting to specific wifi.

    Hello,

I have an error where I will consistently get a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION when trying to connect to my houses wifi. Once it BSODs once, it gets into a BSOD death loop where it will give me one every single time as soon as it tries to connect to wifi, i've even had it as early as the windows logo as my pc is turning back on. Sometimes, it just stays permanently frozen instead. I have tried reinstalling drivers, installing my wifi adapter specific ones, making sure RAM is in properly, doing mem tests, scanning PC/checking disks, resetting windows (it BSOD'd DURING that), updating everything I can think of, checking if motherboard is compatible, disabling antivirus/firewalls, uninstalling stuff that might interfere etc. I've spent days googling and trying every possible fix I can find, but to no avail. I've googled the various drivers I have using driverview to diagnose which drivers might be out of date, the errors I receive, my wifi adapter, my motherboard and bios stuff, and general problems when connecting to wifi.

Although, if I hotspot my laptop which is connected to the wifi I blue screen on, I can connect to my laptops wifi and it works (???).

Here's a google drive for sharing files. I have my dxdiag, sysinfo, and 3 minidumps as a rar file.

DPC Watchdog Violation BSoD when connecting to specific WiFi

Hello, I have been getting frequent (but not always) BSoD when connecting to a specific WiFi network. It gives the Error DPC_Watchdog_Violation. This does not seem to happen when connecting to other wifi networks, only on my home network. At times I am able to get onto the WiFi and use as normal but at random times will still trigger the BSoD which will then usually be in a constant loop of BSoD's

I use a TP-Link AC1300 Wireless adapter for my Dell Inspiron 15-5577 Laptop.

Below I have a link with my minidump folder

    Minidump.zip

Note, that my modem doesn't have any options for Protected management frames when I went through and looked, I am on Spark WiFi in New Zealand.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

  4. DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSOD when connecting via Wifi to specific Wifi

    Assigning a default WiFi connection

Is there any specific way to force Windows to connect to a certain WiFi connection?

Since my PC keeps connecting to a commercial WiFi hotspot rather than to my home network when it boots.

    Things I have tried:

    • "Connect to suggested WiFi hotspots" has been turned off
    • Home network has been set to "connect automatically" when connecting
    • Hotspot networks have been "forgotten" in the WiFi settings
Is there anything else I can try to fix this problem?
