    DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION caused by ACPI.sys


    I have a Lenovo Legion T5, and I have been having a lot of problems with BSODs in recent memory. They tend to vary in which file is actually causing the crash according to WinDbg, and I have had trouble with nvlddmkm.sys before. However, recently I have been getting a lot of crashes involving ACPI.sys. Everytime it has happened, it has been while I was playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019, if that helps with anything. I checked the temperatures of my cores and the usage of my memory, GPU, and CPU while playing, and while it gets pretty high, it doesn't reach 100%. I have tried just ab

    Hi Mattie,

    The DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION blue screen error can be caused by a variety of hardware, firmware, driver, or software issues. Now, you mentioned that you already changed the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers to standard. Did you update the driver as well? And also,
    are you getting the same blue screen error when you play other games? Or is it only occurring when you play a particular game?
