  1. DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION Crash Code

As the title says, my laptop has frequently been crashing recently. Some context: I have a Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 which I bought in 2022. In its initial days it used to hang a lot but somehow fixed itself after a while. No issues for over an year. But recently I found out my laptop had a virus after a Windows Defender scan. I looked up how to get rid of the virus and the method everyone had recommended was to boot into safe mode and delete the particular file causing the virus that Defender had pointed out along with clearing tmp directory. So I did that, and then rebooted back into normal mode

    :)

  2. Blue screen: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

After a recent updating, my machine has blue screen every 5 - 10 minutes.

    The error code is DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

I saw another post here which suggest to use "iastor.sys". But I don't have that in the driver list. Mine is storahci.sys.

    Please advise! Thanks,

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
