Windows 10: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

Hello all, I'm relatively new to the world of computers. I built my own a few years ago and now I'm having the first real issue with it. Not sure what facilitated this but I keep getting a blue screen pop up whenever I try to sign in. The error code says DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. I've tried going into the BIOS and I can't find anything that can help in there. I've tried resetting the PC but the password which works on my Microsoft account when I'm on my phone doesn't work. It keeps saying the wrong password. I literally use the same 2 passwords for everything so I'm a tad confused. Any help wo

Blue screen: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

After a recent updating, my machine has blue screen every 5 - 10 minutes.

The error code is DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

I saw another post here which suggest to use "iastor.sys". But I don't have that in the driver list. Mine is storahci.sys.

The DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION blue screen error can be caused by a variety of hardware, firmware, driver, or software issues. Now, you mentioned that you already changed the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers to standard. Did you update the driver as well? And also,
are you getting the same blue screen error when you play other games? Or is it only occurring when you play a particular game?
