Windows 10: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

I have gotten the BSOD with the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION twice in 2 days now. Both times I was using Firefox on Facebook if that matters. I have located my dmp for both days and they are identical. However I cannot zip the files. I assume it because I don't have ownership because I am not running as administrator.

I know my Windows 10 is out of date but I have been unable to update it. It always seems to think I am running a USB drive when I am using a SSD. I have tried and checked every fix but have never been able to get Windows 10 to update.

So two different issues, probably related, but for now how to share the dmp file?

Blue screen: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

After a recent updating, my machine has blue screen every 5 - 10 minutes.

The error code is DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

I saw another post here which suggest to use "iastor.sys". But I don't have that in the driver list. Mine is storahci.sys.

The DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION blue screen error can be caused by a variety of hardware, firmware, driver, or software issues. Now, you mentioned that you already changed the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers to standard. Did you update the driver as well? And also,
are you getting the same blue screen error when you play other games? Or is it only occurring when you play a particular game?
