    Hi Charles,

    the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

    In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

    Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

    My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.

    Hi

    Can someone help please.

    I am in my late 70's and not too good on the workings of a pc!

    Every week I send pictures to my relatives using Gmail.

    I simple drag a picture from my pictures folder and drop it into the email.

    I have done this for years but it has suddenly stopped working.

    When I go to click on a picture and start to drag it into an email I get a red line (like a no entry sign)
    and it doesn't drop into the email.

    I can drag a picture onto my desktop but not into the email anymore.

    Can you help please? Thank you
