    Dramatic Decrease in Internet speed while gaming


    My computer is getting slower internet speeds than what its testing to. When running a speed test on my desktop on speedtest.net it shows download speeds of 900+ Mbps on the ethernet cable. When Im gaming on Red Dead Online I can only get max 400Kbps. When I use WiFi I get about 700Mbps and around 300Kbps. Im reading the speed while Im gaming on the performance monitor in Task Manager. HI have done the following to try and correct; Reinstalled network adapters through both Device manager and Command Prompt I have reset network adapters,

    Windows 11 Why the Internet speed is dropping dramatically?

    Hi there,

    I am using refresh instaled Windows 11 on my PC, however, I've realized that my Internet connection has decreased its speed after over one hour of using it.

    It used to achieve 500 Mbps for download/upload, but after this issue, then I can reach 10 Mbps using the cable.

    In case I restart the computer, then the Internet return to the regular speed(500 Mbps), therefore after 30~40 minutes of using it, suddenly decreases to under 10 Mbps

    Internet speed decreased after upgrading into windows 10

    Hi,

    My internet speed has decreased after the upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10. I have tried everything including troubleshooters and adapter upgrades, but nothing worked. I have hp pavilion g4. When it was running windows 7 it was having a 1 mbps
    speed , but after the upgrade it is giving 40 kbps speed. It even takes time to browse on the internet and download songs. . I am facing this problem since 6 months. PLEASE HELP !!!

    Dramatic Decrease in Internet speed while gaming

    Download speed decreased to 0.2mbit (from 6mbit) after upgrade from Win8 to Win10

    Hello,

    im experiencing very strange problem because download speed after upgrade to Win10 has decreased. Upload speed is still about 20Mbit/sec. I tried following:

    • multiple network devices- Primary is LAN adapter, secondary LTE phone. Altough the ping is different and upload speed on LTE phone network is slower, both network connections suffer from very low speed (0.2Mbit). And yes, I tried different pc and
    • newest drivers installed
    • dns cleared
    • antivirus uninstalled, no malware found. No improvement in speed either
    • p2p update redistribution disabled
    Before reverting back to Windows81, do you have any suggestions?
