    Dreaded A1B2C3 challenge. Can’t login. Why? How fix?


    I suddenly got the “A1B2C3” challenge because I apparently inputed too many wrong passwords. I know my passwords. Nonone tried to login but me.I cannot login, so please dont tell me to do something I cannot do if I cannot get to that point! When I enter the a1b2c3, then a password window appears. Nothing else no keypad icon or the other icon next to it. This window only accept numbers, and my password is combined letters, simbols and numbers. I tried “shift-restart” to troubleshoot, etc. Nothing works. I tried filling out that electronic form in Microsoft, but no matter what info I input, it

    WP8 device wipe after incorrect 'A1B2C3' PIN/password challenge?

    OK, so WP8 finally has a feature (yippiee!) that prevents easy device wipes upon multiple incorrect password entries (when the phone is locked and password protected), following a 'A1B2C3' PIN/password challenge.

    My question is: is it possible to actually still WIPE the phone out even with this feature?
    I believe this is what happened to my phone recently when my son was playing on it, but I cannot verify it and am not willing to experiment wiping out my phone (again!).

    If so, how can I prevent future wipe outs??

    Account login issue A1B2C3

    I've resolved this issue. I checked for updates. I found one, which surprised me since I have it set to automatically install updates. After my update installed, I typed in the A1B2C3 to login to my account, then entered my PIN and I'm back in.

    I have 3 User Accounts on my SurfaceBook, Windows 10 version 1709 - build 16299.64. One personal and 2 work accounts.
    I just tried to login to one of my work accounts using my PIN as normal and got a message saying that I had tried to login too many times and to type A1B2C3. Since I hadn't tried to login since my last successful login, I'm not sure whether I should follow these instructions. Is this message a result of malware?
    I selected the option to enter my password, but it's not accepting my password.
    Does anyone have any experience with this? I do need to get into this work account.
