  1. Drive C: is locked after interrupted standby

    Hello,
I am in the process of installing windows on a new drive, but I continued using the old drive until I got everything set up, all programs installed and files transfered., for the installation process I changed the boot order but I forgot to change it back.

So I booted back in the old installation, when going to work today I put it in "Hybernate" instead of shutting it down
when I came home today I went back to do some work on the new installation, when I tried to boot back in the old drive it said something about missing BCD files.
The drive is no longer accessable, it's not demaged or anything, but apperantly I'm locked out.
It shows up in windows on the new install but shows no capacity of the drive, I can see the capacity in the drive manager but not much else.

I do not use any passwords on my computer, could it be that it got encrypted regardless?

the only thing left to do is to transfer the data, so I don't even really need to boot in to windows on the old drive.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?
    could it work with linux?

I'm looking forward to your response

    Kind regards
    Lukas

    :)

    Computer is locking leaving standby...

Out of the blue one of my systems started locking up resuming from standby, not hibernation.

Anyways it didn't do it before and now its locking up so hard that holding the power button doesn't work, and to even get it to start again I have to pull the cmos battery out and put it back in.

Not sure whats going on here, but its driving me nuts!

    Any ideas?
*Besides the obvious turn off standby*
    System-
    Asus P5Ld2
    E6420
    *Mainboard might be bad somewhere?*

I also turned off ALL thermal control and the voltage is a nice steady 1.3 so its not a lack of power. Power supply checks all good and is more than plenty large enough for the system.
