Windows 10: Drive shwoing up 0 bytes on every directory

I can't access any files inside this drive, it shows up "0 bytes" everywhere. When I open the treesize tool, it doesn't show all of the files. I've already had a problem like this, but it has been working fine all this time. Is it save and should I delete empty directories and 0 byte files just to clean things up? If it is a good idea is there a tool to find them?

Agreed, using drives formatted as NTFS usually has 4096 Byte Allocation Unit Size so a 0 Byte file is using only that amount of the drive, quite small in the grand scheme of things.

Here comes the answer you're trying not to hear. *Smile It depends. Some Directories, and files, are in place as the structure of an app or system function, and not yet used or referenced. Deleting them may cause the app, or worse the system, to throw up.

Unless you are familiar with what directories/files you are looking at, and their function, it's best to not try to "clean up" these files. They occupy a teeny fraction of your storage. Best to just leave them alone.
