Windows 10: Driver C & D Missing since Windows 10 update

Last year I had a Windows 10 update and my HP laptop went awry . I started to try and fix it but got fed up so just started using a Lenovo instead. I have started trying to fix it Thursday and finally got in to the password section after 29 mins. It is totally up to date for updates . and security but 1?2 an hour for each time I have managed to do something is not good . I only have one driver now Drive E ? and I am sure I never had that one before . I do not know where the Drive C or Drive D has gone . Can anyone help please. Thank you .

• Did you check updating the drivers manually from device manager?

Step 1: If not, I suggest you to update the drivers and check if it helps.

a) Press Windows +X keys on the keyboard.

b) Select Device Manager.

c) Find and double-click on the drivers which you want to update.

d) Right-click the driver and click Update driver software.

e) Follow the onscreen instructions to update.

Steps 2: Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue
is with device. Refer these steps:

  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

Advice For People wishing to update to Windows 10 Redstone

Yep. Tried to update my Realtek sound driver to the lastest version. After that I can't even use the Realtek sound control panel any more. It is now blocked. Seems M$ is determined to force users to swallow their automated driver update system.
