Windows 10: Driver D not letting me do anything with it.

When i go to use my drive in anyway it wont let me do anything at all with it eg storing games, ive tried many fixes but none are doing anything. What ways is there to fix this. happened in both windows 10 and 11 and has been the same for months

You appear to freely mix the words "driver" and "drive".

• A "drive" is a mass storage device.
• A "driver" is a piece of software that allows Windows to address a piece of hardware. It does not need updating beyond what is included in Automatic Updates.

So when you write "D driver", do you mean "drive D:"?

To fix the issue, we suggest that you download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website and install drivers in compatibility mode. Please refer to the steps below:

• Select Compatibility Tab.
