Windows 10: Driver filter for avoiding loss of mouse focus / capture with touch screen operation.

Hello Presently we are exploring a particular case for one of our product, where there will be two operators one as controller or administrator other as operator or user. Administrator will be sitting on main screen with same PC as operator, operator will have a small touch screen with very limited operation. Both will work together to complete a single operation using a single PC, to operate an external hardware. note that both screen are in extended mode but when operator touches on touch screen unfortunately mouse pointer shifts to touch screen, can they operate real time c

Mouse, keyboard, and touch screen suddenly not working

I realize the inconvenience you are facing in accessing the mouse, keyboard, touchscreen on your device. Do not worry we will help you with this issue.

I would like to inform that this issue might have occurred due to outdated/ corrupted drivers on your device.

Do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Have you made any hardware/ software changes to the operating system prior to this issue?
• Are you able to access the device using external mouse and keyboard (Confirm to us)?
• Are you able to boot the device to Safe mode with Networking?

If you are able to access the desktop using external mouse and keyboard, try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Update the keyboard drivers.

• Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Keyboard.
• Right click on the Keyboard driver and click on
  Update driver software.

Step 2: Update the Touchpad drivers.

• Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right click on each of the drivers and click on Update driver software.

Step 3: I suggest you to update the drivers for touch feature in Device Manager:

Steps:

• Right click on Windows key from the desktop and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand Human Interface Devices, right click on the
  Touch screen driver and select Update Driver Software.

We sure can provide some troubleshooting steps before you decide to get help from your laptop's manufacturer. Please follow the suggested solutions below:

Method 1: Check if the touch screen driver is enabled.

• In the Search bar, type Device Manager.
• Locate Human Interface Devices and look for touch screen.
  
• Right-click touch screen and check if it is enabled. If not, please enable it.

Method 2: Reinstall the touch screen driver.

• In Device Manager, go to Human Interface Devices.
• Locate touch screen again and right-click it to Uninstall
  the driver.
• Restart your PC to automatically install the driver.

Touch pad Mouse

The mouse driver can be outdated which causes the issue. To resolve this, we need to do several troubleshooting steps. We suggest that you update the mouse driver from the Device Manager. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right click on Mouse driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
