Windows 10: Driver for Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet for Windows 10

Using Windows 10 Pro -- 20H2 OS Build 19042.685


I have an older PC HP Compac dc5700 Microtower running the above named version of Windows 10. I'm looking for the correct updated driver for the on-boardBroadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet driver that is compatible with my version of Windows 10.


The MSFT Catalog list drivers, but I'm unsure which driver to select. I can use some help.

Broadcom NetlinkTM Gigabit Ethernet adapter loses all connectivity

Hello,

Some Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet adapters may lose connectivity in Windows 10.
There is a solution, listed below, but it is specific to two particular Broadcom Netlink drivers. To check if you have one of these drivers:

• Right-click the Start icon and select Device Manager.
• Expand Network adapters, right-click your Broadcom adapter, and select
  Properties.
• In the Driver tab, click Driver Details.
• Under Driver files, if the path listed ends with either k57nd60a.sys or k57nd60x.sys, or a variant of this file name, then please continue with the solution provided below.
  If it does not match these file names, the proposed workaround is not likely to resolve your issue.
  Please post the make and model of your PC, along with the driver file name, and the Driver Date and Driver Version listed in the Driver tab, along with an explanation of the symptom you are experiencing.
  
  If the name of your Broadcom driver matches k57nd60a.sys or k57nd60x.sys, to resolve your problem:
• Return to the Device Manager.
  
• Expand Network adapters, right-click your Broadcom adapter, and select
  Properties.
• In the Advanced tab, look for and select the property, “Receive Side Scaling”.
  Set it to Disabled, and click OK.
  
• You may need to reboot your computer.

 

Broadcom NetlinkTM Gigabit Ethernet adapter loses all connectivity

In Windows 10, my Broadcom NetlinkTM Gigabit Ethernet adapter loses all connectivity after 5-10 minutes.
Is there a way to fix this issue?

I also found this nasty glitch but luckily for me my Dell Latitude D630 had a wireless driver that was compatible so I did like you said and sure enough that driver did the trick now I am back on Ethernet. Thanks so much!!
