Windows 10: Driver in Windows 10 for a bluetooth headset with very low quality

Hello,I know that such topics have already been created, but I did not find an answer to my problem. I have bluetooth headphones with a microphone. I would like to use them on my Windows 10 computer but using the headphone microphone and headphones at the same time. When I connect them, I have two options to choose from: "Headphones" and "Headset". When I listen to music, the "Headphones" device is turned on and the quality is perfect, but when I want to use the headphones' microphone, the system automatically switches the sound to the "headset". While it is possible that the problem with your Bluetooth headset is caused by an outdated device driver, we would like to a ask a few questions to effectively assist you:

• Have you tried updating your device driver?
• What is the make and model of your Bluetooth headset?

Moreover, if you hear audio glitches or low-quality audio in general when playing music over a Bluetooth headset, close Bluetooth settings if it’s open. Your PC will no longer be searching for Bluetooth devices, which can cause problems
when it’s streaming music at the same time. You may also hear issues if you’re using Bluetooth for something else at the same time you’re listening to music over it (for example, you’re sharing files over Bluetooth while listening to music over
a Bluetooth speaker).

Furthermore, if you’re running Version 1703, we suggest using the Bluetooth troubleshooter to find and resolve Bluetooth problems with your computer. Here's how:

• Click the Start button.
• Select Settings.
• Click Update & security.
• Select Troubleshoot.
• After running the troubleshooter, reconnect your Bluetooth headset.

Low quality audio in headset when microphone is activated

Anytime anything activates the mic (Discord, Skype, Webex, the recording tab in the sound part of the control panel) the audio quality in my headset is very low quality.

To Reproduce:

1. Play music of choice
   
2. Press the windows key and type sound
   
3. Click the Recording tab. Music will change to low quality
   
4. Click the Playback tab your music should sound normal
   
5. Rip hair out in frustration

I understand your concern in this regard. Let us know few things to assist you.

Is that Bluetooth Headset compatible with Windows 10?

Does the manufacturer provided any driver software?

Suggest you to check with the below mentioned troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

a) Open run command by pressing Windows key + R and type “devmgmt.msc” (without quotes) and hit Enter.

b) Spot the Bluetooth Headset driver in Device Manager.

c). Right click on the driver and select “Update Driver Software”. Once this is done, restart the computer to check the problem fixed.

d). If it doesn't fix the issue, then Spot and expand the “Sound, video and game controllers”.

e). Right click on the “High Definition Audio Device” and select “Update Driver Software”. Once this is done, restart the computer to check the problem fixed.
If in case problem still persist, then Right click on the same driver and select “Uninstall” then restart the system and let the system install the driver automatically on Start. Check and see if it resolve
the issue. (Recommended step).

Do update the Bluetooth drivers by following the same steps. You can find the Bluetooth driver under
Bluetooth in Device Manager.
Ensure that Bluetooth Headset is connected with your PC while performing these troubleshooting steps.
