Windows 10: "Driver Management concluded the process to install driver" indication of failed?

I am trouble shooting an issue with audio / sound card on a laptop. I am looking for indication of what is going on from Event Viewer. We can re-install the driver and the sound works afterwards, but as soon the laptop is rebooted the sound card fails and there is no sound.

I see entries indicated by "Driver Management concluded the process to install driver... with the following status:0x0" I assume this means it was successful. What is the status indication for failed?... and or, how can I find if the driver is getting knocked out and what is killing the driver?

Every time this happens a hard drive is disconnected from the system.

Set drive for better performance but after the above issue, reset to quick removal
