Windows 10: Driver PNP Watchdog error when upgrading to Windows 10 version 1803

I've been trying to install Windows 10 version 1803 (aka Windows 10 April 2018 Update) for the last couple months. It failed back in April or May, and then tried to reinstall a month later, where it failed again. I tried upgrading an ethernet driver today, hoping it was the problem, so I wanted to try installing the update again. It still failed. It gets so far along in the process and eventually hits a BSOD mentioning the Driver PNP Watchdog error.


I've seen some other people asking in this forum about the issue and they've been able to post dumps of the crash to help figure out what driver is the problem and also how to fix it.

I'm hoping to do the very same thing here. How do I go about generating the proper dump, sharing it with you, and (with any luck) getting some wonderful help on finding out how to resolve the issue?

PNP DRIVER WATCHDOG

I have been trying to install the April2018 Update but I get a blue screen with the Stop Code PNP DRIVER WATCHDOG. Is there a workaround?

 

Update 1803 windows 10 always get PNP DRIVER WATCHDOG blue screen

When windows tries to update package 1803, after 80% always gets PNP DRIVER WATCHDOG blue screen.

I collected setupmem.dmp from C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Rollback and copied to OneDrive:

Hi

i'm stuck whit this BSOD driver pnp watchdog.

and i can't do anything at all.

when i start it says "unexpected shutdown detected"

then it looks as if it starts up and suddenly the BSOD comes up.

What can i do????
