Windows 10: Driver PNP WATCHDOG stop error code

After an update from windows 11 suspected the computer drivers went through a critical error to the point where the computer wouldn't reach the repair screen or move beyond the HP opening screen. My campus OTS had to reinstall the operating system. Now my computer is back to windows 10 instead of 11. I'm concerned that if I update the OS to 11 that my drivers will fail again because of the update. How can I know when its safe to update the OS? or find out what exactly caused the driver failure.

I have been trying to install the April2018 Update but I get a blue screen with the Stop Code PNP DRIVER WATCHDOG. Is there a workaround?

I've been having this issue for a while now.

the last error message I got was

I created a windows recovery drive from Microsoft's website and and I get stop code: DRIVER PNP WATCHDOG all the time.

Machine is a lenovo y50-70 type 80EJ.

I've tried rebuilding the BIOS using rebuildbcd

etc...

nothing works
