Windows 10: Driver Power State Failure during restart

Hello everyone,


Since a few weeks I have the issue that my PC has small microlags after starting up the system.

The problem shows with the cursor lagging behind and games being unplayable due to this.


When I then restart the PC, the restart process is interrupted by a blue screen and the "Power State Failure" Error message.

After the following start by Windows the system works normally again and everything is fine.

Once I shutdown the PC and start it up again, the problem comes back and is again "fixable" by restarting and forcing the blue screen to reappear.


After googling I found several different possible solutions which have all not worked so far.


1. I had "Driver Booster" installed for checking and maintaining my drivers. I deleted it reinstalled all missing drivers again.

2. Checking if all drivers are fine in the Device Manager --> Updated everything and no signs of a corrupted driver.

3. Running the verifier tool --> So far it didn't give me a specific error message.

It's not a tooo big issue, since it seems to fix itself every restart, but having to blue screen my PC every day is a bit weird :

Based on the details provided, the error "Driver power state failure" is due to incompatible driver. Were you able
to access your PC? If you do, we recommend that your display adapter and check if there are any changes. To update your display adapter, follow these steps:

  and choose
  Device Manager.

  Display adapters,
  right-click
  on your
  graphic driver, and choose
  Properties.
  
• 
  Under
  Driver tab, click on
  Update Driver.

by downloading the latest driver update available in your manufacturer's website and install it.
