Windows 10: Driver/Software for HP Deskjet F2280 All-in-One fail to install .

Hi. I have newly purchased HP Pavilion Laptop with Windows 10 Home version 10.0.19044 Build 19044. I tried to install Driver / Software for HP Deskjet F2280 All - in - One but failed. Request for guidance as to how said Printer & Scanner can be installed on above ver. of windows? Thanks in advance.

Unable use Windows built-in solution to add a driver for an HP Deskjet 6127

I am on Windows 10 (win10_1803.17134.706) and have an HP Deskjet 6127 and the built in solution for adding a printer is not working at all. I can't find drivers for my printer so I skip ahead and look for hp-deskjet-990c drivers instead. I can’t install this driver I just downloaded because they’re for Windows XP giving me an error during installation.

I can’t use Windows add-a-printer because both 6127/990c isn’t listed even after updating the list which took a long time. I was then only left with downloading drivers for 990c, but they're incompatible with Windows 10 even after changing compatibility mode.

Some notes:

• Sometimes when a driver isn't found, you can substitute it with a compatible alternative as mentioned here.

Can't Install HP Deskjet Printer Driver using Third Party Ink?

I have a HP Deskjet 1514 printer which worked fine using OEM ink. I've just installed third party ink but the HP driver software refuses to acknowledge the Deskjet printer when trying to install the HP driver software. I read that HP driver software may block the installation if it finds third party ink installed. Is there a way of overcoming this problem? The printer works fine with the drivers installed by Windows 10 but I have no utilities to clean the ink cartridges.

 

USB Installation for HP Deskjet F2280 Printer Unsuccessful after Windows10 update

Good day

I have a HP Deskjet F2280 printer installed on a Windows 10 Pro 32 Bit system. The printer worked fine, but after the latest Windows 1803 update it stopped printing although the scanner still worked.

I uninstalled the printer driver and tried to reinstall the latest driver which I downloaded from HP's website. The software installs fine up to the point where the USB cable is plugged in, and after a few minutes a fatal error is displayed.

I have tried all the troubleshooters that HP recommended - but nothing fixed the problem.

I have tried the following numerous times:

1- I did a Selective Startup instead of a Normal startup

2 - I disabled the Firewall

3 - I created a new local user account (administrator) and installed the printer driver from the new user account.

4 - I ran Disk Cleanup

5 - I reset the print spooler

6 - I installed a second printer HP Officejet 6700 - The USB installation was also
unsuccessful, but I managed to install it Wirelessly. This proved to me that the USB port is the problem.

7 - I then Installed both printers on a second Windows 10 Home 64 bit system Ver 1803. I used the same drivers (the latest downloaded from HP's website) and both installations were successful, which proved that it is not a driver or printer problem.

8 - I tried to add the printer device using The Built In Windows Drivers, but that was also unsuccessful, although the scanner installs and the scanner works fine.

HP suggested that the only alternative is to reset windows. I still believe there might be another solution.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
