Windows 10: Driver Update in Windows 10 2005 - 450 Intel SCSI adapter

Hello,


I have had various problems with a replacement not new desktop computer - a Dell Optiplex 3060 SFF.


Today I again did a clean install to get rid of a Blue Screen of Death problem and I now have Windows 10 - 2004 - 19041.450 after running the available updates.


The Update tells me that an update failed but will try again - an update of a device driver.




When I check the device driver and try to update it manually I see that this "update version" is actually the currently installed one:





Can anyone explain this and maybe suggest a way forward to either install the correct driver again? or to simply 'kill' the nagging "Update Failed" message and repeated attempts to update by Windows Update.

Intel SCSI Adapter update causes boot problems

Thank you for your update on the situation. I have been keeping an eye on this conversation since I first commented. I have updates waiting, including the Intel SCSI Adapter, and I, too, am pausing updates 7 days at a time. I am hoping Dell and Mircrosoft
come up with a solution, as I have been facing this issue since November. Keep us posted.

Thank you very much for your solution. My computer now boots perfectly. I spent nearly a full day with Microsoft Advisors yesterday trying to solve this problem. The final verdict was to roll back my Windows 10. That sounded scary so I declined that solution
(fortunately) and decided to live with the problem for a while. Today, on Cortana, I entered "Intel SCSI adapter update" and up came this page with your solution. My lucky day

 

Windows 10 driver adapter not working

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to uninstall the network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select
  Uninstall.
• Restart the computer for automatic installation of network adapters and check if the changes are effective.

Update network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Update option.
• Restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.
